Sustainability

Here at The Open University we have a focus on sustainability and a goal to achieve net zero carbon emissions from energy by 2030. We have a range of schemes and office practices to ensure this goal is met. You can find more information on The Open University's sustainability page.

In offices we provide separate bins for different types of waste and request that you please use them as labelled, these can be found both in the office space and kitchens. If you have any electrical waste or items that don't fall into the labelled bins categories, please contact Estates Liaison Line so we can ensure this is correctly disposed of.

Facilities around site allow for staff to be as environmentally friendly as possible from EV schemes to an abundance of bike sheds to buses travelling through the centre of the university. We hope you make the most of these facilities and help to make a good impact on the environment.
