Holocaust Memorial Day

A lit candle in a dark room

Holocaust Memorial Day is marked on 27 January every year. The purpose of the day is to remember the millions of Jewish people, alongside people from other societal groups, murdered by Nazi persecution during the Holocaust.

To coincide with this, we have gathered a selection of resources that are designed to help you learn more about the past and take action to create a safer future. If you are very new to this subject, you might find the introductory resources are a good place to start. The interactive resources also give an overview of the Holocaust, while the testimonies and further reading dig a little deeper into personal experiences and other nuances.

The survivor testimony and further reading were recommended in the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust bibliography.
