Athena SWAN

The Athena Swan Charter is a scheme which recognises and celebrates the advancement of gender equality.

The OU was awarded an institutional Athena Swan Bronze award in April 2013, which was re-conferred in April 2016, and again in April 2021.  The School was delighted to be awarded a departmental Athena Swan Silver Award in March 2022. You can read the School’s latest Athena Swan submission here.

The School's Athena Swan Self Assessment Team is now working on implementing the Action Plan that was developed as part of the School's application for the award.
