The School has a higher than average proportion of women at all levels of seniority of academic staff and provides a very flexible working environment with many members of staff working part time.
Networking events for female academics and PhD students are organised by both the School and the University Athena Swan teams.
All female PhD students are allocated either a female supervisor or a female third party monitor. They are encouraged and funded to attend the LMS Women in Mathematics Day.
The LMS also organises other activities to support women in mathematics.
